The town itself has a compact centre with older stone buildings, practical day-to-day amenities, and a steady year-round population rather than a seasonal or tourist-based economy. It’s large enough for everyday needs without feeling busy, and nearby towns such as Saint-Gaudens provide larger supermarkets, hospitals, and additional services.

The surrounding area is mostly farmland, open countryside, and small villages, with views towards the Pyrenees. It’s well suited to people looking for more space and a quieter setting while still being within reach of larger towns. Toulouse is around an hour away by car, giving access to a major city, airport, and wider transport connections.
